Sri Lanka

A Belgian-style dubbel brewed with tamarind and Sri Lankan kithul treacle

Alcohol by volume: 7.5%
Volume: 650 mL bottle, 29.3L keg
Ingredients: Malted barley, wheat, sugar, kithul treacle, tamarind, hops, yeast, water

In this cultural mash-up, we marry the tropical flavours of Sri Lanka to a traditional Belgian abbey ale. The fruity sourness of tamarind fruit is balanced by the rich, sweet flavour of artisanally produced kithul treacle from Sri Lanka’s Kimbula Kithul. Together with the fruity and spicy flavours from Belgian yeast and Czech hops, this beer makes an excellent accompaniment to South Asian cuisine.
